Jana Starling’s second solo CD, Mythos, will be released in August 2011 through Potenza Music and available at www.justforwinds.com.

Mythos features Jana Starling, clarinet and Gail Novak, piano. This CD contains a wide variety of music including Dana Wilson’s “Liquid Ebony,” Mark Schultz’s “Into the Monster’s Lair,” Theresa Martin’s “Gryphon,” and the Muczynski “Time Pieces.”

Jana accepted a full-time, tenure-track position teaching clarinet at the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, Canada. www.music.uwo.ca

Jana has been invited to performer at the 2008 ICA Conference.

Jana will be heading to Kansas City in July to attend Clarinetfest 2008, where she will perform the world premiere of a work by Eric Mandat for two clarinets. The duo will feature ASU professor and clarinetist Robert Spring.
